Among the green hills surrounding the slopes of Mount Taburno, in the heart of Beneventan Samnium, where the growing of vines and olive trees dates back to ancient times, the Rapuano family, who are very experienced in this kind of cultivation, decided, at the end of Nineties, to start a project to increase the value of the farmer's hard labour, which is a typical activity of the area where their company operates. Consequentely, in 2001, after several years of experimentation, the Torre del Pagus farm and wine company was created; it has its own farmland, completely improved on the basis of the most accurate agronomic techniques, and by using organic farming methods, it produces wines and olive oils characterized by tradition and culture, thanks to a perfect combination of old agricultural methods and modern processing techniques.
